MERGER OF DA IN BASIC PAY: Parliament Question

Following questions replied by MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (E&FS) (SHRI NAMO NARAIN MEENA) in Lok Sabha regarding Merger of DA in Basic Pay   Q: (a) whether various Associations/ Organisations of Central Government employees demanded merger of 50 per cent Dearness Allowance into the basic pay of Central Government employees and pensioners; Ans: Yes Sir   (b) if so, the details thereof and reaction of the Government thereto; and Ans: A number of representations have been received from Associations/Organizations of Central Government Employees/Pensioners and individuals demanding merger of 50% of Dearness Allowance/ Dearness Relief with basic pay/pension respectively. The demand has been considered by the Government and not agreed to since the 6th Central Pay Commission has not recommended as such.   (c) the recommendation of the Sixth Central Pay Commission in this regard and action taken by the Government thereto?

Santhanam, the Conduct Rules for Government servants were revised with a view to maintaining integrity in public Services and the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964 were notified laying down the Code of Conduct for Central Government employees. Railway Minister Announces increase in Rail Passenger Fares            Ministry of Railways has decided to increase the passenger fares  with effective from the midnight of 21st January 2013 and 22nd January 2013 (i.e. w.e.f. 0000 hours of 22-1-2013). This decision was announced today i.e. on 9th January 2013, by Minister of Railways Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal at a Press Conference held in Rail Bhawan.  Minister of State for Railways Shri. The Rule provides for fixation of pay by way of addition of one increment equal to 3% of the sum of the pay in the pay band and the existing grade pay (rounded off to the next multiple of 10)to the existing pay in the pay band and then fixing the pay in the promotional post as per the procedure prescribed therein.

  Title: Need to stop the proposed shifting of office of Geo-Spatial Centre of Survey of India from Silchar, Assam to Shillong.   SHRI KABINDRA PURKAYASTHA (SILCHAR): An attempt has been started to shift the office of TMMz GDC Silchar to Shillong depriving not only the employees of the said office but also the people of Barak Valley, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, the area covered by this office. This office has been performing it duties to its best and rendering necessary services to the Government and people. I as the Member of Parliament from Silchar strongly demand that the TMMz GDC office in no case should be shifted elsewhere and Silchar office in all cases should be retained.
